Phase IV network. Full DECnet services are available including

Vista is a modular terminal server which offers an interesting
capability. It can convert between TELNET and LAT protocols. This
means that a terminal connected to a DECserver terminal server can
use LAT to connect to a VAX, and also talk to an HP-UX computer. The
terminal server speaks LAT to the VISTA, which converts the messages
to TELNET and sends them on the the computer. This all takes place
transparently to the user. Likewise, a user connected to an HP-UX
computer or a TELNET terminal server can speak to a VAX by having
the TELNET protocols converted to the LAT protocols that the VAX
wants to see.
3. MAXLINK Digital Area Networks
2301 Research Blvd.
Ft. Collins, Colorado

MAXLINK is a product which connects PC's to VAX's using a very small
amount of memory. The product fits in 12K versus the 100K or more
required by PCSA or PC-NFS. This allows other networks to be loaded at
the same time (LAN Manager or OfficeShare, Novell, etc.) Allows PC's
to have file system access with the VAX discs and access to the VAX
print queues. If used with other networks it would allow users to
access file systems and printer on both HP and DEC networks without
using a lot of memory. Also under development is a VT 320 emulator
that fits in less than 10K of memory.
All these products are listed, that is HP has no formal connection with
them. By knowing that these products exist, you will be able to
increase your credibility within DEC-dominated accounts.
